Issues - Parental Authority

Parents are responsible for the care and well-being of their children. Extensive research tells us that children do best, and are safer and happier, when raised by a mother and father within a stable traditional family. For years now, government bureaucrats have worked from the perspective that parents are part of the problem and government is the solution. From health care to education decisions involving their kids, parents are often at the mercy of government. FANH will make it a priority to change the growing trend that favors government control over our families and children.

Public schools have lost their way. Too often, they fail to fulfill their essential role of imparting knowledge and teaching children how to think. Instead, they have increasingly sought to tell our children what to think.  This undermines parental authority and is an abuse of the trust parents have placed in our schools. FANH will support education reform policies that embrace educational freedom and give parents control over school curriculum and the programs to which their children will be exposed in school.

FANH supports policies that will eliminate the intrusion of government into our health care decisions and restore the relationship between families and their doctor.
